Church Rite Is Announce For Resident
Harvey L. Lemke, 53, of 144 E. Scott St., died at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Agnes Hosptial.
He was born Oct. 5, 1915, at Dorchester, a son of Emil and Amelia Behring Lemke. He married Dorothy Mielke on Oct. 26, 1945.
Mr. Lemke was graduated from Marshfield High School and was employed at Weyenberg Shoes, Marshfield, before coming to Fond du Lac in 1946.
He was an assembler at Damrow Brothers Co. He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, was active in church work, was a member of the ushers organization of church and formerly was a member of Church Brotherhood and a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his widow: one daughters, Ruth Ann, at home; one brother Ray E. of Madison; one sister, Miss Virginia Lemke of Wausau; and his step-mother, Mrs. Hannah Lemke of Madison. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one step-brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm. Wednesday at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul G. Piotter and Pastor Harold G. Kromery officiating. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
**Personal Note: Emil Lemke married Hannah Schafner [Scheaffner]: Hannah is a great aunt to Roma Schram Ratzburg {my 1st cousin}.
