GEORGE A KOPP
Funeral services for George Alexander Kopp, 76, R. #2 Neillsville, were held January 18, 1961, from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank B Harcey of the United Church officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Mr. Kopp was born May 8, 1884, in Elba, MN, and came to Clark County with his family when he was two. The family located on a farm in the town of Levis, where he had lived since.
He was married on March 6, 1915 to the former Bernice Winton, at Neillsville, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Ruby) Weigman, Waukegan, IL, Mrs. Ned (Gladys) King, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Dale (Arlene) Runge, Greenwood; a son, Raymond of Humbird; a brother Joseph of R. 2 Neillsville; and 11 grandchildren. Preceding George in death are his parents, a son, George R; two sisters, Frances and Clara; two brothers Fred and Frank.
Pallbearers were: Wilson Bonhoff, Ernest and Albert Mohr, Roscoe Bean, Byno Lloyd and Herman Embke.
Two hymns "Asleep in Jesus" and "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" were sung, by Wilfred B Galstad, accompanied, by Miss Kathleen Galstad.
People from out-of-town attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weigman and daughter, Waukegan, IL; Mr. and Mrs. Ned King and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Runge, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Raymong Kopp and son, Mr. and Mrs. Russell O’Leary, Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Novak and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Tennant, Mrs. Harlan Larson, George Geisler and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Stoddard, all of Merrillan; Mrs. Roscoe Bean and Lyle Hedden of Nora Springs, IA.
