BERNICE KOPP
Funeral services were held Saturday from Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Bernice Kopp, age 67, of Milwaukee, a former resident of the Township of Levis, who died October 22, 1964, in Milwaukee. The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold of Greenwood officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Kopp was born February 3, 1897, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Cyphius and Cecelia (Youmans) Winton. She had been a lifelong resident of the Neillsville area, and attended the Columbia school.
On March 6, 1915, she was married to the late George A Kopp in Neillsville. They farmed in the town of Levis. She recently sold her farm and went to Milwaukee to make her home.
She is survived by four children, Ruby (Clarence) Wiegman of Waukegan, IL, Gladys (Ned) King of Milwaukee, Raymond (Cornelia) Kopp of Humbird, and Arlene (Dale) Runge of Greenwood; by three sisters, her twin, Bernita Pennebecker of Canada, Jennie (Burt) Winter and Hattie Winton of Neillsville; and by 14 grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Kopp in death, were her late husband, George and one son George R Kopp.
Mrs. Kopp was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, of Neillsville.
Pallbearers were: Byno Lloyd, Murel A Mott, Alvin Wendt, Tom Yndogliato, Herman Embke and Wilson Bonhoff.
What A Friend We Have In Jesus and Rock of Ages were sung, by Wilfred Galstad, accompanied by, Mrs. E.G. Burtness.
People from out-of-town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ned King and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Lisko of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wiegman and daughter, Judy of Waukegan, IL; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kopp and family, Mrs. Emma O’Leary, Mr. and Mrs. Russell O’Leary, of Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Runge of Greenwood; Mrs. Helen Siems of Merrillan; and Mrs. Harlan Larson of Alma Center.
