F. J. Simons went to Milwaukee Monday to attend the convention of the Wisconsin Retail Hardware Dealers association.

Chas. Brandstedter, clerk of the local camp of Woodmen, received a draft the fore part of the week for $1000, payable to Mrs. H. D. Head, beneficiary of Frank Head, who was a member of the order.

Albert Campbell was here from Fairchild the last of the week after a load of coal. Mrs. John Zingsheim and children left last Saturday for Elroy to make their home.

Wm. Stadke and wife, of Split Rock, were called here the last of the week by the death of his mother.

Mr. Blecha came up from Cottage Grove Thursday morning after a visit with his son-in-law W. H. Kubat. He states that Mr. Kubat has decided to remove from Cottage Grove where he has been operating a creamery the past year.
