Flinke, Norman E. (13 Dec. 1920 - 14 Feb. 2005)
Norman E. Flink, 84, of Marshfield died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at the Bethel Center in Arpin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St Paul's United Church of Christ in Marshfield. The Rev Frank L. Picard will officiate. Colleen Austin will provide music and Trish Langjahr will serve as soloist. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Friends May call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hansen Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
He was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Unity, a son of Carl and Mary (Bennett) Flink. He attended the Sunshine Elementary School and graduated from Unity High School. Norman was united in marriage to the former LaVerne Spann on Jan. 1, 1942, at the First United Church of Christ in Colby.
Following their marriage, the Flinks operated a dairy farm in Colby until 1957. Norman then worked for Marshfield Homes and later Rollohome Inc. as a serviceman. He was a member of St Paul's United Church of Christ.
Some of his interests included woodworking and square dancing. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, LaVerne Flink of Marshfield; and his children, Linda (Jack) Kurth of Englewood, Fla., Larry (Becky) Flink of Cedarburg and Carol (Phillip) Weinfurtner of Marshfield. Three grandchildren, Abby Flink, Chelsea Weinfurtner and Kyle Weinfurtner further survive Norman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis Flink; and one brother, Marvin Flink.
A memorial in Norman's name will be established at a later date.
