Mrs. Isaac Stoppel, of Walworth county, a cousin of Mrs. B. Harvey, was a visitor here Sunday and Monday
Henry Babler and wife expect to leave Saturday noon for a visit over the 4th with their relatives at Madison and Monticello
C. B. Travis recived a setting of Partridge Plymouth Rock eggs from Indiana the last of the week. The eggs are from a new strain of Plymouth Rocks, and are from the $35, $30 and #25 pens. He has hopes of hatching a fine lot of chicks from the setting.
Mrs. I. J. Ferris and two children, who have been stopping with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Chambers for several weeks, left Wednesday night for Toledo, Ohio. Her mother cane Sunday afternoon to accompany her and the children home. Mr. Ferris, who has been located at Harvey, N. D., for a year or more past, has left there.
The town board has received notice from the town of McMillian in Marathon county, that the family of Willis Goodremote had received aid to the amount of $175. Sickness is the reason given. Goodremote lived on the Perrin place east of the village long enough to gain a residence, and eked out an existence by buying rags and selling dead wood. The town is undoubtedly liable for the expense incurred.
Mrs. John Putman went to Augusta Sunday, being called there by the death of John Monroe.
