O.M. Hein was at Necedah a few days the first of the week looking after his farm. He founds the late crops looking good.

F. J. Payson, of Chippewa Falls spent afternoon with friends in town. Mr. Payson is working as third trick man at Chippewa Falls.

L. Lang has his horse "Harmonium," entered at the Clark County Fair this week for a premium. The judges made their awards Thursday, but we have not learned their award.

H. A. Berryman who has served as night operator here for some months, went to St. Paul the first of the week to take examination, and has been promoted to an agency position.

Henry Hanusa has purchased the Frank Schable in the town of Alma for $8000. The farm is 160 acres and is considered one of the leading farms in that section. The sale was made through W. D. Beede and brother. Mr. Hanusa will not take possession according to present arrangements, until next spring. Mr. Schable expects to retire from farm work.
