Mrs. Spry, from near Granton, was here a few days the fore part of the week to visit her broth G. F. Fruit and family, and also help take care of their young son who was quite sick with the measles.
Dr. and Mrs. R. B. Washburn and Mrs. Wasburn's sister came down from Augusta Sunday in the Dr.'s new auto. This was the first trip he had made with it, and he is becoming quite expert in handling the levers. Claud Washburn accompanied them home, returning on the night train.
Mrs. Jos. Williams and children and Mrs. H. Hobard came Saturday night from Canton, Ill. They brought a care of household goods, horses, etc., and expent to make their home on the land recently purchased by their father, Ulrich Muhmenthaler. The men folks are busy brushing and breaking and expect to have about thirty acres in crops this season.
