Miss Hannah Benson, who was employed at Madison during the university year, came the last of the week for a visit with friends.
W. E. Gregory lost a pile of slabs containing about ten cords by fire one night recently. The slabs were piled near the engine and it is thought a spark caused the fire.
Operator Geo. Thurston went to B. R. Falls Tuesday to attend the funeral of his aunt, Miss Nettie Thurston, who was secretary of the board of education of the city of Eau Claire.
