VICTOR M KURASZ

Victor M Kurasz, age 84, of Black River Falls and formerly of Hixton, died Sunday at Pine View Care Center, Black River Falls.

Victor was born on January 13, 1918 in Neillsville, the youngest of six boys, to Martin and Victoria Kurasz. He was raised in the Neillsville area and attended the Rock Creek country school. Victor lived and farmed in the Neillsville area for 47 years.

In 1965, he married Kerry Smith and moved to Black River Falls where he became employed at the Jackson Box Factory and later by the Jackson County Green Thumb Project. His wife, Kerry died in 1981. In 1985, Victor married Better Bersch and they lived in Black River Falls until 1991 when they moved to Hixton. Betty died in 1997.

Victor enjoyed hunting and collecting aluminum cans.

Surviving Victor are his dear friends and neighbors, Junior and Carol Bearfield, of Hixton.

Preceding him in death are his two wives and five brothers, Andrew, John, William, Joe and Harry.

Graveside services were held Wed. July 24, 2002, in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
