Funeral services for John Henry Free, 66, of Route 3, who died Sunday at the Portland Sanitarium, will be held Tuesday at 2 o'clock in Limber's chapel. Cremation will be at the Lincoln Memorial in Portland.
Born in Ontario, Canada, in 1866, Mr. Free came to the United States when he was 20 years old, settling in Wisconsin. In 1910 he moved to Portland and lived there about five years before going to China where he was employed as mill manager for the China Import and Export Lumber company. While there he built three electrical lumber mills. Six years ago he came to Vancouver and started a trout farm north of the city. Vancouver Evening Columbian.
