Lawrence, Fannie (Marriage - 21 Sept. 1932)

A very quiet wedding was solemnized at the court house Wednesday, Sept. 21, when Miss Fannie Lawrence became the bride of Walter Jakobi, both of York.

The bride was lovely in an ankle length dress of dark blue satin and carried an arm bouquet of gladioli and fern. She was attended by Miss Anita Jakobi, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid, and Miss Olive Lawrence, the bride's sister, as flower girl. The bridesmaid wore an ankle length dress of golden yellow silk and carried gladioli. The flower girl wore baby blue silk chiffon and carried a mixed bouquet of asters and feverfue. The groom was attended by his cousin, Hans Eden, and both wore dark suits.

After the ceremony they drove to the home of the bride's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Melford Williams, near Lindsey, where a bountiful wedding supper was served to the immediate relatives. The elaborate wedding cake was the work of Mrs. Alvin Sternitzky.

Those present beside the wedding party were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jakobi, parents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Orin Lawrence, parents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Melford Williams and five sons Earl, Roy, Clarence, Orin and baby Chester; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Sternitzky and daughter Dorothy and son Delmar and Miss Stella Swoverland.
