Bertrand, Katharine (16 Augl 1866 - 5 Apr 1926)

Mrs. Frank Bertrand died Monday, April 5th, 1926, at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield. She had an operation for tumor about two weeks ago and was seemingly getting along fine when suddenly she took a turn for the worse, and on Monday she passed away.

Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand came to Dorchester, Clark County, Wis. Country about nine years ago from Thorp, Clark County, and settled 6 1/2 miles southeast of the village, but as they attended church here frequently they made some warm friends here.

As the relatives are all in Germany and the Bertrands have no children, with her death, Mr. Bertrand is left very much alone, and as his health is very poor, he needs all the kindness and sympathy of his friends about him.

The remains were brought here and this morning services were conducted from the St. Louis Church by Father Eisenman of Abbotsford, assisted by Father Pal Pitzenberger and Father Rueter of Medford, and she was laid at rest in the Catholic Cemetery.

The Clarion and the many friends extend their sincere sympathy to Mr. Bertrand in his sorrow.
