Umlauft, Annie (28 FEB 1849 - 2 Dec 1926)

Annie Zechel Umlauft was born in Tyssa, Austria, Feb. 28, 1849, and died at the home of her son Joseph, in the town of Holton, just south of Abbotsford, Thursday, Dec. 2, 1926, after a short illness with pneumonia.
Funeral services were held Monday Dec. 6, at the Catholic church at Abbotsford, Rev. Eisenman officiating and interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
She was married to Frank Umlauft in 1872 in Czechoslovakia and came to America in 1882. The surviving children are Joseph H., Abbotsford, Rudolph, Dorchester, and Mrs. Amelia Kadonsky, also of Dorchester.
Mrs. Irving Iverson, Oconomowoc, Mrs. Vincent Storch, Stetsonville, and friends and neighbors from Dorchester and the town of Holton attended the funeral services of the deceased, who was one of the early pioneers of Marathon Co. and lived a useful and busy life.
