Burnsee, Mrs. William (1 Feb 1876 - 26 Mar 1927)

Mrs. Wm. Burnsee, who died at her farm home west of the village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) last Saturday, was laid at rest in the Curtiss Cemetery, Tuesday.

Mrs. Burnsee was born Feb. 1st, 1876, at Eldorado, Fond du Lac Co., Wis., and was married to Wm. Burnsee on Feb. 27th, 1901. The first two years of married life was spent at Rosendale, coming to Clark Co., Wis. in 1903, where she has since resided.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, three children, Mrs. Joe Kowlewski Jr., Holway, and Edith and Irvin, at home, two sisters, Mrs. John Stollfus, Eldorado, Mrs. Charles Miller, Lamertine, and four brothers, Julius Smith, North Fond du Lac, August, Rosendale, and Wm. and Charles, Curtiss.

She was a loving mother, a kind neighbor, and always willing and ready to lend a helping hand. We join with the many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved.

Surnames: Burnsee is also seen as Bernsee.

Mrs. William Burnsee/Bernsee maiden name is Bertha Schmidt/Smith. [Rumor is the family surname was Schmidt than changed it to Smith when they came to the United States.]

Mrs. Joseph "Joe" Kowlewski Jr.; is Edna Mae Burnsee/Bernsee.

Edith Burnsee/Bernsee married Albert Ortlieb.

Mrs. John Stollfus; is Augusta Schmidt/Smith.

Mrs. Charles Miller; is Minnie Schmidt/Smith.

Brother: August is my 2nd great grandpa.
