Obituary of Mrs. Wm. Alperstett

Mrs. Wm. Alperstett, nee Selma Braun, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Braun, was born December 27,1880, in the Town of Longwood and was confirmed on April 12, 1895.

On May 7, 1919 she was married to Wm. Alperstett at the parsonage of the West Side Reformed Church. They resided on a farm in the Town of Warner. To this union was born one son, Melvin.

She passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 1942 at her home northwest of Greenwood, after an illness of several months with a heart ailment.

She is survived by her husband and son at home, her aged father, two sisters Mrs. Theo. Knifke and Mrs. Norman Mitchell of Chicago, two brothers Ed of Greenwood and Elmer of Sacramento, Calif., a step-daughter Mrs. Esther Horstman of Marshing, Idaho, and two grand daughters.

Her mother passed away four years ago.

Funeral services were held at the Braun Settlement Reformed church Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. B. M. Fresenborg officiated. She was laid to rest in the Braun Settlement cemetery. Mrs. Theo. Braun, Mrs. John Vollrath, Mrs. Otto Horn and Bernice Vollrath sang "Beyond The Sunset" and "Abide With Mr" accompanied by Mrs. John Seibold. The congregation sang "Rock Of Ages".

The pallbearers were Wm. Schlinsog, James Metcalf, Chas. Scheuermann, Ed Geisler, Herman Damerow and Gus Horn.

The flower girls were Martha Horn, Lorinda Horn, Alice Braun and Pearl Reinhardt.

E. O'Neil, Michigan; Mrs. Oscar Reinhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Reinhardt, Pearl Reinhardt, Dorothy Reinhardt and Melvin Reinhardt, Wane, Neb.; O. A. Kross, Edw. R. Mayr, Peter Norris, Harry Ebenriter, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meier, Shirl Lee Brussow, Loyal; Emma Marquardt, Ida Lueloff, Orland Lueloff, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wachtmuth, Owen.
