NORMA JANE NELSON

Norma Jane Nelson, age 64, of Rockford died at 3:48 a.m. Sept. 2, 2002 in her home, surrounded by her family.

Norma was born June 7, 1938, in Neillsville, the daughter of Wesley and Verna (Shaley) Payne. She lived in Rockford more than 47 years. On Jan. 27, 1980, she married Dennis Nelson in Las Vegas, NV.

Norma was employed, at Lunde Truck Sales for 22 years before retiring. She was a member of Elida Lodge, IOV.

Surviving Norma is her husband, Dennis: children, Cindy (Tom) Onken of Las Vegas, Jim (Glenda Carter) Tibbet Jr., Sharon (Bruce) Rumore, Shirley (Bill Patterson) Small and Bill (Sandra Collins) Tibbett, all of Rockford; stepsons, Michael (Debbie) Nelson of Davis Junction and John Nelson of Rockford; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Eunice (Harold) Humke of Nekoosa; brothers Earl (Erdine) Payne of Neillsville and Toby (Lynn) Payne of Rockford. Preceding Norma in death are her parents and a brother Myron Payne.

Memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 5, in Sundberg Funeral Home, Rockford, with Rev. Gregory L Carlson, officiating.
