Trost, Elva L. (29 Sept. 1919 - 26 Feb. 2005)

Elva L. Trost, 85, of Greenwood, died Feb. 26, 2005, at the Neillsville Memorial Home in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood. Burial will follow in Greenwood City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until time of service. Cuddie Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

She was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Greenwood to Louis and Claudia (Gordon) Radke. She was united in marriage to Laverne Polzin on April 4, 1938, in Greenwood. He died April 24, 1964. She married Albert Trost on Feb. 14, 1966. He died Oct. 2, 1992. She worked as a cook at the Chelsea's Supper Club in Greenwood, St. Mary's Catholic School in Greenwood and at Loyal Cannery seasonally for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Marie (George) Moore of Amery, Karen (Harry) Heckel of Marshfield and Kay (Ken) Schafer of Marshfield; five stepchildren, Al Jr. (Lyndi) Trost of Palmer, Ark., Nancy Molizon of Chicago, Mary Lou Cauley, Beverly Quandt and Jean Steen, all of Baraboo; 11 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby Johnson of Justice, Ill.
