NEILLSVILLE - Herbert Arndt, 84, of Neillsville died March 2, 2005, at Neillsville Memorial Home.

Buchanan Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Herbert E. Arndt

NEILLSVILLE - Herbert E. Arndt, 84, of Neillsville died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville.

Services will be at noon Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service following at 7 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville.

He was born Oct. 7, 1920, in the town of Scott in Sheboygan County to Elmer and Hulda (Theis) Arndt. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He operated a print shop in Plymouth from 1950 until 1986.

He married Arlene Bauman on Jan. 3, 1942, and she died in 1986. He married Adeline Bieneck on April 22, 1995, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

He is survived by his wife, Adeline Arndt; son, Allen (Joanne) Arndt, Plymouth; daughter, Doris (James) Frazar, Pipe Creek, Texas; six stepchildren; three grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Alice (Ed) Bemis, Oconomowoc.
