Stigen, Frank C. (11 Jan 1895 - 26 Jan 1975)

Frank C. Stigen, 80, died Sunday at his home on Route 1, Withee. Services were held at l:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee with Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor officiating, Interment was made in Withee Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Stigen was born January 11, 1895 in Withee and attended the former Sterling Grade School. He operated a farm in the township of Withee until 1959, when the farm was sold to his son, Gene. Mr. Stigen however, continued to reside there.

His marriage on June 18, 1924 at St. John's Lutheran Church to the former Amelia Widmer, who survives him.

Other survivors include a son, Gene, route 1 Withee; two sisters, Mrs. John (Alma) Somers, Port Angeles, Washington and Mrs. Mary Porter of Lafayette, Calif.; a brother, Oscar, of Port Angeles, Washington; and two grandchildren. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
