CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co, WI) 05/14/1926 Geiger, Anna (11
MAY 1926) (bad microfilm, so
some words are cut off) Miss Anna Geiger
and Mr. Anton Wittman were united in marriage at St. Louis Catholic
Church Tuesday morning, Rev. Paul Pitzenberger conducting the
service. The bride was
becomingly dressed in a white crepe de chein gown with sash and
veil and carried a shower bouquet of white carnations, in what was
one of the most beautiful couples married in that Church, Mae
Geiger, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore orchid
georgette and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations, while
Clara Wittman, a sister of the groom, acted as maid of honor and
wore a pea green crepe de chein dress and carried a bouquet of pink
and white carnations. Both wore beautiful head bands. The gentleman
attendants were ? Geiger, brother of the bride, and ? Wittman,
brother of the groom, and they all wore the usual ? suits. After the ceremony
they all went to the bride's home where a bounteous meal was
served to about 75 people. Serving the dinner was in the capable
hands of Mesdames E. Sorenson and A. Nachtwey. The ? were
beautifully decorated with red, white and green to match the colors
of the ladies in the bridal party. The table was also nicely
decorated with ferns and a delicious looking wedding cake decorated
with ferns and a beautiful ornament held place of honor. After dinner the
bridal party drove to Medford for pictures at the Dake ?. Upon
their return they enjoyed themselves as the rest with ? and
singing, and at 5:30 a delicious repast was served. At 8:30 everyone
repaired to Mid?, where a wedding dance was give and they sure had
a good time. The bride is a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger and has spent her life here
and is well known as a ? young lady, well liked by all who know
her. Thought the groom is not well known here yet as he came to the
Dorchester, Clark County, Wis. recently, still he has made friends
who speak well of him and too, he made such a wise choice in a life
partner, which speaks well of himself. They will make
their future home on Mrs. Jake Lapp's farm 5 ½ miles
west of town, which the groom has rented. The Clarion joins a host
of friends in wishing them many happy years together. Those out of town
guests were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wittman Sr. and daughter Regina, Mr.
and Mrs. Mike Wittman Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. ? Wittman, Mr.
and Mrs. Theodore Wittman, Mr.a nd Mrs. John Geiger and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Havill, son Ralph and daughter ? f Little Chute and
Mary ? of Stratford. Those from Dorchester Country were Mr. and
Mrs. Ed Meyer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Geiger and family. Mr.
and Mrs. John Staab and family, Rev. Paul Pitzenberger, and mother
