Kaage, Marie (16 JUN 1926)
Miss Marie Kaage of this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), was united in marriage Wednesday afternoon June 16th, 1926, at 4 o'clock, to Bernard Gall of Loyal, Clark County, at the St. John's parsonage of Greenwood, Rev. Frei officiating. Miss Irene Kaage, sister of the bride, and Miss Grace Ryan, acted as bridesmaids. Herman Gumz and Anthony Klimmer of Loyal were the gentlemen attendants.
The bride wore a dress of blond colored georgette crepe, daintily embroidered with white artificial silk in deep triangles harmonizing with the skirt. She wore golden blonde silk hose and blonde satin slippers and a hat of rosewood and blonde colored silk. Her bouquet was of fine ferns, lilies of the valley and peonies.
The bridesmaids were prettily dressed in tan net over pale green and shell pink silk crepe. Both carried bouquets of ferns, roses and peonies. The bridegroom and his attendants wore the usual dark blue suits.
The two reception rooms at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gall, at Loyal, were decorated in pink and white and blue and white respectively, and the table bouquets were mixed flowers. Here the reception for the bride and groom was held after the ceremony. A delicious dinner was served to all the guests.
The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kaage. She was raised on this community, received her education here in the public school, graduated a year ago in June from the high school and completed one semester at the Taylor Co. Normal. She is a quiet, unassuming young lady, very well liked by all who know her and we are hoping for much happiness for Marie. The groom, the proprietor of the Battery Services Station at Loyal, is not known her very well but we surely think he showed fine taste when he picked such a fine partner for life's journey. We join all the friends in wishing them lots of life's good things and a pleasant journey through life.
The guests from Dorchester were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kaage and family, Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Heidtke and family, Mr. and Mrs. A. Marquardt and family, Mr. Joe Pueschner Sr., and Herman Gumz. Others were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Gumz Jr. of Milan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gumz of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Willet Dencker of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gall of West Allis and relatives near Loyal.
The young couple will start housekeeping immediately in their new already furnished home at Loyal.
