(15 JUN 1927) (Owen
Enterprise) A pretty church
wedding occurred Wednesday morning, June 15, 1927, at the Holy
Rosary Church, when Miss Elizabeth Melvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Melvin of the town of Holway, became the bride of Mr. George
Hemfer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Hemfer of this city (Owen, Clark
County, Wis.). The young couple was attended by Miss Margaret Hamm,
a cousin of the bride and Miss Margaret Melvin, a sister of the
bride, and the groom had Mr. Emil Stasek and Mrs. Joseph Potanik.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Monarski, pastor of the
church. Following the ceremony the young couple went to the home of
the bride'' parents where a wedding breakfast was served and
a reception held. Those from out of
town attending the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. George Hamm, John
Hamm, Miss Ackerman and Mrs. Raml, aunt of the bride, and all of
Holway. The groom is a
young man engaged as a carpenter for Contractor C. Bacon, and they
will make their home with her parents for the summer. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
