YOU CAN ELECTRIFY NOW--DO IT
Much comment has been made about the new electric transmission lines which have been built out from this city to the farmers of this community. The work and material is being put out at actual cost to the farmers and has resulted in bringing a modern necessity to our practical farmers at low cost.
The Gleaner hopes to see lines go north, northwest, west, and east of this city next summer.
The city has an abundance of power for sale which can be put at the dispsal of any one in need of it at a very small charge. The method of obtaining this power, as we understand it, is to form an Electircal Association with all the farmers of our community, obtain an estimate from the superintendent of the Municipal Light and Power Plant and establish a credit for the cost of materials. You can do a lot of the labor yourself and lower the costs.
Electricity can then be used by all and serve a great need of drawing Greenwood and its farming community closer together in a common interest.
We hope more farmers will take advantate of this opportunity to electrify now at actual cost.
