Kunkel, Herman (18 OCT 1870 - 4 Feb 1962)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe for Herman Kunkel, 91, of 310 Division St., Neillsville, who died Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital. The Rev. J. G. Ruege will officiate and burial will take place in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends May call at the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville until noon Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the time of services.

Herman Kunkel was born Oct. 18, 1870 in Germany and came to the United States in 1909, located at Nekshkora. He was employed on the railroad for six years before coming to Clark County, where he purchased a farm in 1915. He farmed until 1950 and then retired and moved to Neillsville. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe. His marriage to the former Alvine Sell took place in Germany.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Emma) North, Neillsville; a son, Otto, La Crosse; and one granddaughter, Mrs. James Riel, Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, and a son, William.
