Mrs. Niels Peterson
Mrs. Niels Peterson, 306 ½ Frenzel St., died Sunday (Aug. 18, 1963) about 9:15 a.m. in a local hospital after suffering a sudden heart attack. She was 83.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby, with Dr. P. S. Bischoff, associate pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here, officiating. Burial will follow in Colby Memorial Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peterson, the former Susan Parkhill was born Aug. 26, 1879 in the Town of Hull. She and Mr. Peterson (Niels Gunnuf Peterson, son of N. P and Margite Peterson) were married Sept. 16, 1899, in Colby. They lived in the Colby area until 1928, when they moved to Milwaukee. Mr. Peterson died in 1942 and Mrs. Peterson had lived with her daughter, Miss Anna Marie Peterson, at the Frenzel Street address, since.
Other survivors include two other daughters, Mrs. Fred Johnson, La Crosse, and Mrs. Neil Vater, Owen; a son, Lee, Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Munson, Withee; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Peterson was active in the Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star holding memberships in Past Matron clubs in Wausau and Abbotsford.
