Dix, Oscar J. (12 FEB 1884 - 7 Augl 1971)

Colby, Clark County, Wis. - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lulloff Funeral Home here for Oscar J. Dix, 87, of Colby, who died early Saturday morning at the Colonial Nursing Home in Colby, where he had been a resident for the past year.

The Rev. David Pankow, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Lulloff Funeral Home beginning today (Monday).

Mr. Dix was born Feb. 12, 1884, in Neenah, and came to the Colby area at the age of 19. He and a brother were associates in the operation of the Midget City Meat Market. Later he became affiliated with William Berry and Harvey Bitter in the operation of the market. He retired about 10 years ago. He was married in Colby, May 24, 1915, to Anna Wolk. The couple had made their home in Colby since that time.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and had served as a director of the Colby State Bank for many years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Irene) Regner, Brookfield; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
