Erickson, Alfred M. (13 Mar 1893 - 7 Augl 1971)

Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church here, for Alfred M. Erickson, 78, of Curtiss, who died Saturday at the Gumz Nursing Home in La Crosse. He had been a former president of the Owen-Curtiss State Bank.

The rev. Roger Tellock, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, Curtiss. Visitations May be made beginning today at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home, Owen.

Mr. Erickson was born March 13, 1893, in the town of Hoard, near Curtiss, and received his education in the Curtiss Schools and the Owen and Colby High Schools. He also attended a banking school in Madison and a Business College in Eau Claire.

He was married Nov. 7, 1920, in Abbotsford, to Laura Geary, who preceded him in death Oct. 11, 1970. He had been employed at the Owen-Curtiss State Bank from 1918 until about five years ago when he retired. He had served as president of the bank for several years during that time, and had been a director of the bank at the time of his death. Mr. And Mrs. Erickson had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1969.

Mr. Erickson was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Curtiss.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. H. J. (Ethel) Wardell, La Crosse, a son, John, St. Cloud, Minn., six grandchildren, and two brothers, Cornell Geary, Curtiss, and Emil Geary, Westby.
