The family name Ehlers was changed to Ellers in the 1850's.and I believe the name error was a newspaper mistake. I May need a chart to figure out my relationship, but John Ehlers (Ellers) was my father's cousin, with over a 20 year difference in the ages of his mother(Lousia) and her brother (John also).
