Wilhelme, Gustave C. (27 Mar 1843 - 3 NOV 1900)

Died, at his home two miles south and one mile east of Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., Saturday morning, Nov. 3, 1900, Mr. Gustave C. Wilhelme, of dropsy, at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 6 days. Mrs. Wilhelme has been ill for five months.

Mr. Wilhelme was born in Germany on March 27th, 1843, where he lived for twenty-five years. He was united in marriage to Miss Wilhelmina Holtznagel also a native of Germany, in 1864. Four years later he immigrated to the United States and located at Cedarburg, Wis., where he resided for several years. Then he moved to Waukesha and nineteen years ago came north to Dorchester, and located on his farm where he resided until his death.

The funeral services were held at the German Lutheran Church, Rev. Georgi officiating. A large number of friends were present at the services and followed the remains to the cemetery. His death was deeply mourned by one daughter, Mrs. P. Wilbert of this place, and three sons, Charlie, henry and Gustave, also of this place.

Mr. Charles Wilhelme and son of Cedarburg, came up to attend the funeral.
