DORCHESTER REPORTER (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 11/16/1900 Van Dusen, Emiline
F. (1832 - 11 NOV 1900) Died at Prentice,
Wisconsin, on Sunday evening Nov. 11, 1900, Mrs. Emiline F. Van
Dusen, aged 68 years, wife of O. D. Van Dusen of Prentice, formerly
of Dorchester, Clark County, Wis. Besides the husband, one son and
five daughters survive her; Grant O. Van Dusen and Miss Leona Van
Dusen, Mrs. Charles I. Gale of Prentice, Wis., Mrs. Horace
Fishback, Mrs. G. A. Mathews of Brookings, S. D. and Mrs. F. D.
Arnold of Dorchester, Wis. Services were held
at the home in Prentice on Tuesday forenoon, the remains leaving on
the noon train south, accompanied by the husband and son Grant and
daughter Leona, for Marcellon, Wis., where burial occurred on
Wednesday, Nov. the 14th. Mrs. Van Dusen was
well known in Dorchester, being at one time a resident here. A
woman of sterling character, true to her God, a true and devoted
wife and mother, a never ending and never ceasing advocator of all
that was pure and noble in life. Her last sickness of several
months was passed in her home at Prentice surrounded by husband,
children and friends who, with unceasing care and loving hands did
all in their power for her which was a period of most divine
patience and resignations in her suffering and when death came,
quietly and peacefully, it found her ready, and but marks the
passing from earthly to eternal life of a beautiful, unselfish, and
Christian life, glorified and returned to Him who gave it. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
