Schmidt, Fredrick W. (11 Augl 1852 - 7 May 1901)
Fredrick William Schmidt was born in Germany Aug. 11, 1852. When a young man he immigrated to Sheboygan Co. and remained there till the year of 1878. In April 1878 he moved to this place (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) and located on his farm two miles south and two miles west of the village. He was married in 1876 to Miss Augusta Schumann of Sheboygan County. They had six children. They are: Fred, Minnie, Albert, Paul, Emma and Willie, all of which, but Fred, were born here.
