Buss, Bernard (16 April 1924 - 17 March 2005)

THORP - Bernard Buss, 80, of Thorp died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born April 16, 1924, in the town of Reseberg to Albert and Ida "Edith" (Gorsegner) Buss. Bernard and Linda Huberty were married on June 30, 1945. They farmed in the town of Reseberg until 1976 and moved to Owen, where he worked for Master Packaging. The couple moved to Thorp in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Buss of Thorp; his children, Bill (Judy) Buss, Thorp, Jim (Karen) Buss, Cottage Grove, Minn., Marvin Buss and Sandy Buss, both of Roberts; a sister, Ruby Buss, Thorp; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
