Denvord G. "Rabbit" Smith, 65, of Oshkosh died Saturday Oct. 16, 2004 in Neillsville, Wis. He was born January 21, 1939 in Ary, Kentucky a son of John and Mary Campbell Smith.
Rabbit had owned many local bars with his longtime business partners and friends, Rodger "Pepper" Kriewaldt of Oshkosh and Keith Pease who preceded Rabbit in death in 1995, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and enjoyed fishing, carpentry, and shooting pool.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday Oct. 20, 2004, today, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-East.
