Hartman, John (1867 - 12 Jan. 1933)
John Hartman, a bachelor, formerly a resident of Jackson county, and employed at times in this vicinity, died at the Neillsville hospital Jan. 12, after a long illness. He was 66 years old. Mr. Hartman had worked on the farms of Louis Struble and Craig Montag. Two years ago he was bought to the hospital here and F. D. Calway was appointed his guardian. Recently Mr. Calway arranged for him to stay with a farmer in Jackson county, but his illness became acute and he was returned to the hospital. He was buried in the Neillsville cemetery, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
