Mrs. August Schlender passed away at the St. Mary's-Ringling hospital; Thursday evening at 9:35 o'clock. She had been ill since last Friday with a cold, which developed into pneumonia. All of the family were at her bedside, her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jonkel, of Chicago, having arrived here an hour before her death.
Susan Kramer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kramer, Sr., was born at Waukesha, April 26, 1856. She was married to August Schlender, June 26, 1888 at Neillsville, Wis. The deceased and her husband had resided in Clark County until 12 years ago when they came to Baraboo and made their home on Third Street.
Surviving the Baraboo lady are her husband, one son Erwin, a daughter, Mable, two sisters, Mrs. Christine Dunham of Wisconsin Dells and Mrs. Caroline Winkleman of the town of Greenfield; and two brothers, John Kramer of Baraboo and Peter Kramer of Greenfield.
The remains were taken to the Meizl and McGann undertaking parlors. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian Church of which the family are members. Baraboo News.
