Ackerman, Mr./Mrs. Ed. (50th Anniv. - 2 June 1933)
Mrs. Herman Roehl received word from her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Ackerman of Portland, Oregon, that some of the relatives and neighbors had come in and reminded them of their Golden Wedding on June 2, 1933. The afternoon was spent in talking of the past and singing some of the old hymns. Mrs. Mart Ketle baked the golden wedding cake and their granddaughter, Shirley Ketel, decorated it with golden leaves.
Mr and Mrs. Ackerman lived two miles west of Granton until 14 years ago, when they moved to Portland, Oregon. They are both in good health.
