Donald Schwante of this city was married June 12 at 10 a.m. to Miss Evelyn Sivertson at the Evangelical church at Auburndale, Rev. Ebby performing the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Sivertson of Auburndale. She is a graduate of the Marshfield high school and the Stevens Point normal. For the past three years she taught school at Curtiss. She is a young woman of exceptionally high ideals and enjoys the respect of all who know her.
Mr. Schwante, proprietor of the barber shop under the First National Bank, graduated from the Colby high school in 1926. For the past several years he has been employed at his profession here at which he is most skillful. He is a young man of good habits and industrious.
The bride was attended by Miss Ermine Schwante, Colby, sister of the groom. Bryne Neville, Colby, was best man. The bride was attired in a beautiful white ensemble with white accessories. The bridesmaid wore a pretty pink costume.
A wedding dinner was served at the Sivertson home, attended by 20 relatives and close friends.
Mr and Mrs. Schwante went on a honeymoon trip to Clintonville, Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay. They are making their home at 226 South Hewett Street.
