Shober, Marie (9 SEP 1929)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized Monday, Sept. 9, 1929 at 8:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Church in Milwaukee, when Miss Marie Shober became the bride of Mr. Ernest Paasch of that place. Rev. James Cotter officiated.

The bride was gowned in white satin trimmed with pearls and wore a long trailing veil trimmed with rhinestones and pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and baby breaths. The bridesmaids were Miss Kathryn Shober and Elizabeth Shober sisters of the bride, and wore peach and orchid georgette with pompons to match. They carried a bouquet of yellow and pink roses and baby breath.

The groom was attended by Chester Lazweski of Milwaukee, and Casper Shober, brother of the bride. The groom and his attendants wore dark blue suits.

The bride is well and favorably known here and has a large host of friends. The groom’s home is at Elbow Lake, Minnesota, but has been employed as Electrician to the International Harvester for the past four years.

The newlyweds left immediately after the ceremony for the bride’s home where they will spend a week. After September 16th they will make their home in Milwaukee.

The local friends of the couple extend Congratulations and best wishes.
