Portz, Dorothy (23 OCT 1929)
A pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Portz near Chili, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, when their daughter, Miss Dorothy, became the bride of Ervin Haselow. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. W. Zimmerman of the Evangelical church at Chili, before the immediate families of the young people. The attendants were Miss Mabel Portz, and the grooms brother Albert Haselow.
The home was decorated in blue and ivory, canopied above the place of the ceremony, in the center of which hung a white wedding bell.
In the evening a wedding dinner was served to the guests after which the newlyweds left on a motor trip to several cities in this state and Minnesota.
The bride grew to womanhood in Fremont township and has been a teacher in the public schools near her home. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Haselow who reside near Spokeville in Sherman township. He has been employed for several years in the elevator at Spokeville.
After returning form their wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Haselow will make their home in Chili.
