Clarkson, Minnie M. (1906 - 2004)

COLBY, WIS. - Minnie M. Clarkson, 98, of Colby, formerly of the towns of Hammel and Grover, died March 30, 2004, at Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Colby.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. Burial will be in Perkinstown Community Cemetery in the town of Grover.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1906, in the town of Hammel to John and Minnie (Blank) Paugels. She was married to Clarence B. Clarkson on Dec. 31, 1924, and he preceded her in death June 7, 1981. The couple farmed in the town of Hammel until 1948. They resided in Medford and the town of Grover for periods of time. She waitressed and cleaned in different stores in Medford.

Survivors include four sons, Roy (Elsie) Clarkson and Ervin (Dorothy) Clarkson, both of Withee, Lester (Ardis) Clarkson, Stetsonville and Donald (Evie) Clarkson, Medford; 11 grandchildren; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
