CURTISS, WIS. - Harris A. Johnson, 82, formerly of Curtiss, died April 26, 2004, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Withee United Methodist Church. Burial, with full military honors by Colby VFW Post No. 2227, will be in St. Paul's Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery in Curtiss.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home in Owen and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
He was born May 4, 1921, in the town of Hoard, Clark County, to Carl Edwin and Theresa (Hansen) Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Harris and Ethel Hodd were married June 12, 1942. He worked as a foreman for Master Packaging in Owen. The couple lived in Withee for 20 years and then moved back to the family homestead in the town of Hoard, rural Curtiss.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; his children, the Rev. Ronald (Deborah) Johnson, Chili, Marlene (Steve) Booher, Marshfield, and Diane (Timothy Sr.) Stock, Withee; half-brothers Roger (Leanne) Johnson, Fond du Lac; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
