Katherine Pagel, 81, Thorp, Clark County, Wis., died at 5:43 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26, 1994 at Victory Memorial Center, Stanley.

Katherine Biddle was born June 26, 1913 to George and Mary (Bancroft) Biddle in the town of Thorp, rural Thorp. She married John Pagel March 9, 1932 in Thorp. She lived in the Thorp are all her life.

Surviving are John: four sons: Gerald and William Pagel of Eau Claire, George Pagel of Thorp, Ronald Pagel, Stanley; three sisters: Virginia Prock, Eau Claire, Bernice Hoeper, Oaklawn, Ill., Ruth Huth, Baraboo; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 4 sisters and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today, Thursday, Sept. 29, 1994, 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorp with Rev. Robert Wilcken officiating. Burial will be in East Thorp Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
