Pieper, Walter (5 AUG 1904 - 9 Augl 1977)
Walter Pieper, 73, of 1219 E. Sixth St., died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Convalescent Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Walter E. Schultheiss, associate pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hansen Funeral Chapel and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorials May be given to the American Cancer Society or the Arthritis Fund.
Mr. Pieper was born Aug. 5, 1904 in the Town of Beaver in Clark County. He attended Clark County Schools.
After his marriage to Sylvia Nelson Dec. 22, 1928 in Beaver Dam, he farmed in the Loyal area until 25 years ago when they moved to Marshfield. He was employed by Rollohome Corp. for 20 years until retiring in 1971. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his widow, one sister, Mrs. Verna Knuth of Reedsburg; two brothers, John and Clarence of Reedsburg; one half-brother, the Rev. Frank Pieper of Ingleside, Ill.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Edna Cherney, Milwaukee.
