Withee, Clark County, Wis. - Mrs. Alfred Frost, 82, Withee, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, the Rev. Lloyd Yaggie officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends May call at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, after 3 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Frost, the former Clara E. Knudsen, was born Oct. 5, 1894 in Omaha, Neb. And was married to Alfred Frost Oct. 27, 1919 in Omaha, observing their golden wedding in 1969. They moved to the Town of Hixon, Clark County in 1919, farming there until 1959. At that time they moved to the Village of Withee.
She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and was affiliated with the Gray Ladies group at church. She was instrumental in forming the Frenchtown 4-H Club and also belonged to both the county and state Homemakers groups.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. William (Sylvia) Fisher of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sons, Vernon Frost, Middleburg, Va., and Kenneth Frost, Withee; three brothers, Axel Knudsen of Bainbridge Island, Wash., Walter Knudsen of Montebello, Calif., and John Knudsen, Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Sigrid) Trautman, Anacortes, Wash., and Mrs. Margrete Grobeck, Solvang, Calif.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

The Owen-Withee area was saddened at the passing of one of the old-time
residents of the Frenchtown community, Mrs. Alfred (Clara) Frost, age 82, of
Withee, on Friday, August 5, 1977, at 9:45 a.m. at the Havenet Nursing Home in
Owen.
Mrs. Frost was the former Clara E. Knudsen, and was born October 5, 1894 in
Omaha, Nebraska. She was married on October 27, 1919 in Omaha to Alfred Frost,
and they observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1969.
The Frost moved to the farm of Peter Frosts in Frenchtown in the Township of
Hixon in 1919 and farmed their until 1959, when they retired to their present
home in Withee.
Mrs. Frost was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and was affiliated with
the Gray Ladies Group at that church. She was instrumental in the organization
of the Frenchtown 4-H Club. She was a member of both county and state Homemakers
groups.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 8 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church
in Withee, with the Rev. Lloyd Yaggie officiating. Burial services followed in
the Nazareth Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were: Sig Sorensen, George Sorensen, Jim Hansen,
Thorvald Frost, Vernon Miller and Frank Olszewski. The organist for ht eservice
was Louise Hansen.
