Withee, Clark County, Wis. - Funeral services were held at the Bethany Lutheran Church at Owen Friday afternoon for Mrs. Maria Maki, 75, Withee, who died Sunday, March 1, 1959, at the Medford Hospital of old age complications. The Rev. Wilksman officiated and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Make was born July 4, 1883, in Finland. Her marriage to Neston Maki took place there on Nov. 5, 1899. The couple came to Massachusetts after their marriage. Later they moved to Virginia, Minn., and in 1912 they purchased a farm in the town of Hoard, Clark County. Since her husband’s death in 1943 she had made her home in Withee.

She is survived by three sons, William Owen; George, Edgar; and Robert of Philadelphia, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Vera) Maki, Pittsburg, Calif.; Mrs. Jorgen (Edna) Torgesen, Fischer, Minn. And Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Kessell, Moscow, Idaho, and 15 grandchildren.
