JUL 1827 - 14 Feb 1903) Mrs. Ellen Hanson,
wife of the late O. Hanson, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
O. Paulson, at 10:30 Saturday evening, at the age of 75 years. She
has been ill for the past three months with heart trouble and with
the infirmities of old age her death was anticipated. The funeral
was held from the Norwegian Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon at 2
o’clock, Rev. Hougen officiating. Deceased was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Peterson and was born in Walengo,
Sweden, on July 10, 1827. She was united in marriage to Peter
Hanson and came to the United States Nov. 18, 1889 and located at
Wausau, which has been her home up to the time she came here
(Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), in Sept. 1902. Mrs. Hanson is
survived by five children: Hans, who at present is in the Dakotas;
Chas., proprietor of a livery stable, and Mrs. Rhinelander, both of
Wausau; Mrs. Chas. Johnson of Tomahawk and Mrs. Ole Paulson of this
