The marriage of Miss Augusta Violand of the town of Mayville, Clark County, Wis., to August Steinke of North Dakota, occurred Sunday afternoon, Jan. 18th, 1903, at the home of the brides sister, Mrs. Herman Nuerenberger one mile south of the village (Dorchester, Clark Co.), in the presence of a few near relatives and friends. Justice Frank Nagel performed the marriage ceremony and Ida Haas and Ernest Schraeder acted as witnesses.
After the ceremony all partook of a fine wedding supper and Monday noon the couple departed for their new home near Grand Forks, North Dakota, where Mr. Steinke owns a large farm.
May their married life be happy is the wish of their many friends.
