We are of the Joseph Schilling line, our grandfather, Louis B. Schilling came from Lowell, In. area but probably Joseph ? from Ohio, in the westerly migration route of many of the German immigrants of the period. Grandfather (de 1957 period) was an entrepreneur, early subdivision, developer of West Chicago Heights (at least one home of his, on Illinois Historical Houses list). He had several brothers, one John, a carpenter, also Chicago Heights.
We are looking for Schilling information and trying to piece together more of family history.
