OWEN - Vera Piroschenko, 95, Owen, died Friday, April 2, 2004, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Lublin. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, with Parastas at 7 p.m.
She was born March 23, 1909, in Austria to George and Kateryne (Winohradnec) Kozak. She lived in Germany, England and Scotland for a brief time. Vera and Andrew Piroschenko were married Sept. 10, 1949, at District of Chorley, Lancanster, England. They immigrated to the United States in 1958, living in Chicago, Fairchild, and finally Withee. During her lifetime she worked as nanny, cook, farmer and an interpreter in a hospital. She was active at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew of Owen, and relatives in the Ukraine.
